Growing Up & Away
Tony grew up in Massachusetts under the guidance of two amazing parents, Consuelo and Angelo. They taught Tony at an early age about the importance of hard work, commitment, and respect for others through youth sports, Boy Scouts, and church involvement. After a successful wrestling career and National Honor Society member, Tony graduated high school and went to Arizona State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. During college, Tony was active in the community as a member of The Boys and Girls Club Teen Club, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the Hispanic Business Association, and Omega Delta Phi Multi-Cultural Fraternity, Inc.
Then Tragedy Hit
After moving to WA in 2013, Tony’s daughter was walking home from high school and was struck by a car driven by an opioid addict. The impact of the accident was so severe that it left her paralyzed from the hips down. The family endured as Mariah went through numerous surgeries and therapies yet even though times were tough, they never folded to the pressure and together, they established “new normals” in their everyday life.
After 12 surgeries and countless hours of physical therapy, Mariah was released and it was in Federal Way that they found an accessible home, a supportive community, and, most importantly, a new shot at independence. Now Mariah, with the help of her best friend and brother, Nic, are both working towards successful and independent futures. Tony’s son, Nic, currently serves as a member on the City of Federal Way Youth Commission and attends TAF at Saghalie.

Since 2015, Tony has been national president for Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc., a Hispanic founded Multi-cultural Community Service Fraternity. With over 70 chapters in every part of the US, Tony leads the strategic vision, growth plan, and financial maturity of the national organization. In under 3 years, Tony was able to deliver national partnerships with CASA, United Way, Geico, Lyft, Uber, and Hertz that brought opportunity and fresh revenue to the organization.
While living in Federal Way, Tony has been lucky to be involved and contribute back to the city that gave his family a new start. Tony is a tireless contributor to community events in Federal Way.
