Tony Pagliocco Announces Candidacy For Federal Way City Council, Position 7
Federal Way, WA– Today, Tony Pagliocco of Federal Way, declared his candidacy for the Federal Way City Council, Position 7. Tony has spent the last 18 years driving the delivery of digital products for Hasbro, SheKnows.com, and currently, the Boeing Company, where he heads up a global team of Senior Product Managers focused on data science and artificial intelligence.
Tony Pagliocco moved to Federal Way several years ago after his daughter was struck by car driven by a drug addict, which resulted in a spinal injury that left her paralyzed from the waist down. After a long hospitalization, Tony’s family found a home in Federal Way where he has become involved in the city as a Commissioner on the Human Services Commission, Civil Service Commission, and the Ethics Board. Tony also serves on the King County Travel Advisory Commission, the Board for the Federal Way Symphony and is a member of the Rotary Club of Federal Way.
“I’m very excited to announce my candidacy. The reason I filed for this position last year was because I wanted to prove to the voters that I was serious. I wanted to show through my work ethic that you can be strategic, agile, and lean in your execution of a long-term plan. The team has created a fantastic roadmap and I’m eager to get out there and earn the support of the voters in Federal Way.”
“This campaign is very personal to me because when I moved here, I liked what I saw and lately, it’s getting tougher to keep saying that. Federal Way has many positive things happening but there are areas where we are needing critical levels of attention.”
Tony’s campaign will focus on growing the public safety and human service resources of Federal Way. Using his experience in technology, he wants to build partnerships with technology giants to develop youth and vocational opportunities in Federal Way.
“It’s time for the city of Federal Way to move forward”
“We can learn from the past but we cannot live in the past. We need Councilmembers that can make tough decisions, have tough conversations, and drive change.”
“I’ve spent over 20 years involved with community service and I want to continue that in Federal Way as a Councilmember. It’s critical to us, as a city, that we start being proactive instead of reactive. We need to attack root causes, not just not treat the symptoms.”
“I’m not a politician, I’ve been problem solver my entire career and it’s time to shake things up in Federal Way. Our taxpayers deserve a better return on their investment and I want to use my career experience to help be part of the change.”
